5. Intellectual Property

1. You retain ownership of content you submit (“User Content”).
2. You grant Open Mirror Studios a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, improve, and promote the services.
3. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content complies with these Terms and applicable laws.

7. Purchases, Payments, and Virtual Items

1. All fees, if any, are payable in advance and are non‑refundable unless required by law.
2. Virtual items and in‑game currency are licensed, not sold, and may be modified, revoked, or discontinued at any time. They have no cash value.
3. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

8. Third‑Party Services

Our services may link to or integrate third‑party services. We are not responsible for third‑party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third‑party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim or ZAR 1,000.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Open Mirror Studios from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the services.

Upon termination, certain provisions will survive, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Africa for any disputes, unless local law requires a different forum.
